WIMA Europe’s two-day Women’s Leadership Programme in Maritime & Logistics brought women from across the sector together in Batumi for practical training and discussion.
Supported by UNDP Georgia and Bank of Georgia Business, the programme covered communication, career development, digital safety and the practical use of AI at work, while giving participants space to share experiences and learn from one another.
The first day focused on communication, career development and practical skills for the workplace.
Tinatin Stambolishvili, Associate Professor at GIPA and an expert in Integrated Communications and Behavioral Design, led sessions on public speaking, verbal and non-verbal communication, professional boundaries and career planning.
Andro Gotsiridze, Founder of CYSEC and Associate Professor at BTU, led sessions on online security, data protection and the practical use of AI at work.
Through hands-on discussions and exercises, participants explored how these tools and skills can be applied in their everyday work across the maritime and logistics sectors.
Following the first day of the Women’s Leadership Programme in Maritime & Logistics, WIMA Europe continued the two-day training in Batumi on 25 September 2026 with a second day focused on leadership, professional development and practical business experience.
The session was led by Salome Arghvliani, entrepreneur and Founder of EVA, who shared her experience of building a business and worked with participants on leadership and professional growth.
Hosted at the Bank of Georgia SOLO Business Lounge, the session also created space for participants to exchange professional experience, discuss career development and establish new business connections.
The second day concluded the two-day programme, after which participants were presented with certificates of completion.
Organized by WIMA Europe in partnership with UNDP Georgia and with the support of Bank of Georgia, the programme brought together women from the maritime and logistics sectors for two days of practical learning, professional exchange and leadership development.
The initiative forms part of WIMA Europe’s wider work to support women’s professional development and strengthen connections across the maritime and logistics sectors.
